Korn Kountry Treasures
Just another WordPress.com site

I really like the old glass pieces that you find in estate sales and flea markets now. We have a nice assortment on OLA.com that I would like to share with you. These are from various stores and show some of the wonderful work produced by the Indiana Glass Co.

This beautiful tray is being sold by Morerivethead84. It is a diamond point ruby flash tray that would be splendid on any table! It appears to be a lazy susan tray.

Then we have some beautiful Green Daisy glassware being presented by Jaswood Antiques & Collectibles. They do have more than one so pick up several!! Wonderful to serve iced tea in!!

Of course, one of the favorite patterns was the harvest pattern. It just so happens we have a beautiful carnival glass cracker jar available from A Plus Yesterday & Today. They have some other pieces, too!

We also have some nice Indiana Glass pieces. These are called Kings Crown and are a rich amber color. Our store is called Korn Kountry Treasures.

So no matter what you are looking for in Indiana Glass, come on over to OLA.com and check us out! We have so much more to show you! You will be so glad that you did!!

A young man sprinkling his lawn and bushes with pesticides wanted to check the contents of the barrel to see how much pesticide remained in it.  He raised the cover and lit his lighter; the vapors inflamed and engulfed him.  He jumped from his truck, screaming.  His neighbor came out of her house with a dozen eggs, yelling: “bring me some eggs!”  She broke them, separating the whites from the yolks.  The neighbor woman helped her to apply the whites on the young man’s face.  When the ambulance arrived and when the EMTs saw the young man, they asked who had done this.  Everyone pointed to the lady in charge.  They congratulated her and said: “You have saved his face.”  By the end of the summer, the young man brought the lady a bouquet of roses to thank her.  His face was like a baby’s skin.

Healing Miracle for Burns

Keep in mind this treatment of burns which is included in teaching beginner fireman this method.  First aid consists to spraying cold water on the affected area until the heat is reduced and stops burning the layers of skin.  Then, spread egg whites on the affected are.

One woman burned a large part of her hand with boiling water.  In spite of the pain, she ran cold faucet water on her hand, separated 2 egg white from the yolks, beat them slightly and dipped her hand in the solution.  The whites then dried and formed a protective layer.

She later learned that the egg white is a natural collagen and continued during at least one hour to apply layer upon layer of beaten egg white.  By afternoon she no longer felt any pain and the next day there was hardly a trace of the burn.  10 days later, no trace was left at all and her skin had regained its normal color.  The burned area was totally regenerated thanks to the collagen in the egg whites, a placenta full of vitamins.

I am not the original author of this piece. It was passed on to me by my sister. However, given the wonderful healing properties of things in nature, I knew I couldn’t keep it to myself! ALWAYS remember that burns can be very serious! Do not hesitate to call 911 for serious burns!

This information could be helpful to everyone. Please pass it on.

This is a tutorial to post in the chats, change color and font size, add pictures and links.

First, select the chat you wish to post in-I selected “What’s for Sale on OLA” because this is where it is beneficial to have a picture and a link to your auction.

Click on New Topic

Copy the complete title from your listing and put it in the subject line. This will be found by search engines, giving you free advertising!

Type the message in the body. Note the arrows for subject and also the arrows pointing to the boxes.

The boxes are for Bold, Italics, Underlined and over to the right, Image, and URL. I never use the Quote, List and List= so I can’t describe these.

First I highlighted the complete sentence that I wanted to change. I then clicked on the B box. Note there is a beginning code and an ending code. This is automatic as soon as you click the B. I will highlight the ENTIRE sentence again (along with the code) and then click the i box. I will repeat the highlight again and then click the U box. This will give me a bold, underlined italics style.

Now I am going to change the color. I highlight the ENTIRE sentence, including the code. I click on Default drop down box and then select the color. I have chosen Violet.

Now, I am going to change the font size. I highlight everything and then click on the Normal drop down box. I select Large.

I am now ready to add the picture.

I select the IMG box and click once. I have two screens open. One with the chat that I am posting on and one with the listing I have chosen.

I go back to my listing and RIGHT click. Please note the Properties. I will click on this to get the code or address for my picture.

I will highlight the address and copy into the chat posting after the (img) then click on the IMG box once more to close. (This is NOT automatic. The IMG isn’t automatic, either. You have to click these again to close). You can then just click on the cancel on the Properties to back out.

Now, I want to add the link so someone can just click on it to go to the actual listing. I will click on the URL* box once. Then I will go back to the listing.

I’ve highlighted the address as shown and copied into my post after the (URL) then I will click on the URL* once more to close.

This is how it should look so far:

Ok, for the fun of it, I’ll add a smiley!

OK, I am ready!! Now all I have to do is click Preview at the bottom to see how it is going to appear!!! If I need to make changes, I do so and hit Preview again until I am satisfied!!

This is what I have done so far. The address at the bottom of the post will take someone directly to my listing!! Now I just click on Submit and I am done!!

Now to complete the picture and give people a link to your store or listings see the Chat Set Up so that you can have your link post automatically at the bottom every time you post in the chats!!!

I do apologize for the crooked circles and any misspellings I may have missed!! If you have any questions or comments, don’t hesitate to do so!!
