Egg whites . . . Who Knew?

A young man sprinkling his lawn and bushes with pesticides wanted to check the contents of the barrel to see how much pesticide remained in it.  He raised the cover and lit his lighter; the vapors inflamed and engulfed him.  He jumped from his truck, screaming.  His neighbor came out of her house with a dozen eggs, yelling: “bring me some eggs!”  She broke them, separating the whites from the yolks.  The neighbor woman helped her to apply the whites on the young man’s face.  When the ambulance arrived and when the EMTs saw the young man, they asked who had done this.  Everyone pointed to the lady in charge.  They congratulated her and said: “You have saved his face.”  By the end of the summer, the young man brought the lady a bouquet of roses to thank her.  His face was like a baby’s skin.

Healing Miracle for Burns

Keep in mind this treatment of burns which is included in teaching beginner fireman this method.  First aid consists to spraying cold water on the affected area until the heat is reduced and stops burning the layers of skin.  Then, spread egg whites on the affected are.

One woman burned a large part of her hand with boiling water.  In spite of the pain, she ran cold faucet water on her hand, separated 2 egg white from the yolks, beat them slightly and dipped her hand in the solution.  The whites then dried and formed a protective layer.

She later learned that the egg white is a natural collagen and continued during at least one hour to apply layer upon layer of beaten egg white.  By afternoon she no longer felt any pain and the next day there was hardly a trace of the burn.  10 days later, no trace was left at all and her skin had regained its normal color.  The burned area was totally regenerated thanks to the collagen in the egg whites, a placenta full of vitamins.

I am not the original author of this piece. It was passed on to me by my sister. However, given the wonderful healing properties of things in nature, I knew I couldn’t keep it to myself! ALWAYS remember that burns can be very serious! Do not hesitate to call 911 for serious burns!

This information could be helpful to everyone. Please pass it on.

  1. I was badly burned in 1959 when I was almost 5 years old. My p.j.’s caught on fire as they were not fire-retardant back then. I was burned from the top of my legs clear to the ankle. They did not know what to do back then..the nurses put petroleum jelly and then cotton over the burns & it was awful. Finally they called in a specialist and had to pull all of that cotton off and debris the burns. I don’t remember ANY of this…I had skin grafts at St. Mary’s Hospital in San Francisco & was in the hospital for over 3 months. I am so happy about the progress they have made in burn injuries. I had to learn to walk again, to stretch the new skin from my abdomen…I was lucky that I did not die back in 1959 as so little was known about handling the situation. I had many, many, blood transfusions & was a sickly child. I was told I had Mono 3 times & missed a lot of school….Finally…in 2002, right after the Hepatits C virus was recognized, I was diagnosed with Hep C…I know that I got it from all of those transfusions as I have never been an IV drug user! So, the story goes on…..Now I have a new challenge to deal with in my life. I did not tolerate the treatment & had to stop at 9 months..Now I just take care of myself as best I can. I have not been able to work since 2003 but do what I can to keep happy & by the Grace of God~I will live as full of a life as possible. Hepatitis C is no fun…It feels like having the flu all of the time. Achy, tired, nauseated….but life is still good & it could be worse. I am glad for this article and think that every parent should be aware of this………

    • Thank you for your story.

It does seem that doctors have learned more about burns over the years-I remember the petroleum jelly, butter or lard being used when I was a kid. It took years for people to learn that it didn’t work but would make it worse. On we go trying to come up with better medicines through science and research when all we have to do is look at what God has provided us-nature has so many remedies to offer us! Sometimes, we are just too stubborn to see it.

I wish you continued optimism and faith!
